Off the north coast of Ireland lies Giant’s Causeway -- an amazing formation of over 40,000 naturally-occurring basalt columns, now designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Legend says the Causeway was built by Finn MacCool, leader of the guardians of the King of Ireland. Some say Finn built the Causeway so the Scottish giant Benandonner could come to Ireland to fight with Finn. And some say Finn built the Causeway so he could visit his love in Scotland. However the Causeway came to be, there’s nothing else like it on earth.

This pattern, designed exclusively for us by Jean Clement, captures the wonder of the Causeway surrounded by the North Atlantic Ocean, with lace columns and a pattern that spirals around the leg.

Knit from the cuff down with one skein of Carys BFL Sock, a light-medium fingering weight yarn.
