Blooming in spikes of mauve flowers like the stacked floral motifs of this sock, the wildflower Betony is endangered and protected in Ireland. Trickling accent patterns suggest that a brief summer thundershower has just passed over a rare field of flowering Betony. Designed by Lana Holden.
The sock is worked from the toe up and features asymmetric toes, mirror-imaged patterning, arch shaping, and a flap-and-gusset heel shaped using short rows. One skein of fingering weight yarn is used.
